Frequently Asked Questions
-
HIVE is a gamified financial learning app geared towards youth so that they can learn essential skills in a collaborative and fun environment! Our goal is to expand fiscal education’s accessibility to all learners so that more can be supported in their journey towards financial independence, as all should have the right to be secure!
-
HIVE delivers curriculum in bite-sized lessons with numerous minigames of various types (ex. survival and choose your own adventure)! This keeps learners interested, and in-game goals as well as streaks help users keep track of their individual journey while badges document achievements. Our tier system uses your HIVE experience points to calculate your mastery level of our curriculum, ranging from Larvae all the way up to Top Bee. You can also use your Bee Bux to vote against others for regular charity donation show-downs!
-
Though not available to download yet, HIVE will come at no cost, making it free to use and learn fundamentals with! However, we do have plans to eventually expand into offering a premium tier where less essential information (ex. a deeper look at cryptocurrency) will be offered with an addition of no ads for $5.
-
As of now, HIVE plans to launch both on the App Store/iOS and Google Play in Spring. We’re excited to help more and more people take control of their financial future as we grow from there!
-
When using the Internet, answers to situation-specific questions are often searched and then forgotten after a while. Using HIVE, that’s instead experience-based helps to build a stronger foundation so that users are more likely to make more informed financial decisions in the long run! We keep all of this learning in one place, serving as a great resource to refer back to with tons more return value than using your average search engine.
-
With environmentalism being one of our core values, HIVE donates 15% of our profits to the green charity you, the users, vote on using your Bee Bux. And though we’re themed around bees, our support goes to all environmentalist groups as well in an effort to leave the world healthier than we found it! The change starts with us!

Our users are investing in their future, and to us, that includes the wellbeing of the planet they’ll be living on. Additionally, we find that learning about financial topics requires talking about how where you spend your money impacts the environment and those working all levels of jobs (like with pollution by factories and ethical labor practice). That’s why we raise awareness for the cause and effect of consumerism, hoping that it leaves our learners informed and more likely to support green initiatives and favor companies on their journey towards financial independence.
